Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Vivlore, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for your password and account activity. One account per person. Free accounts include unlimited tributes. Paid plans include biography features as described on our pricing page.
3. Your content
You own the content you upload (text, photos, audio recordings, stories). By uploading, you grant Vivlore a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, store, and reproduce it solely as required to provide the service to you and the people you invite, and to produce any printed book you order. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. You must not upload content that infringes others' rights, breaches confidentiality, or is unlawful.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscription plans (Single £5.99/month, Family £15.99/month) are billed monthly via Stripe. We do not offer a free trial. You can cancel anytime from your account; access continues until the end of the current billing period and is not prorated. After cancellation your biographies become read-only (frozen, not deleted) until you reinstate. We do not offer mid-period refunds for subscriptions.
5. Printed books
We offer a printed hardback biography (currently £89, one-time charge, processed via Stripe). Each book is produced on demand by Lulu Press Inc., our print and fulfilment partner. By placing an order you authorise us to share your name, shipping address, and the contents of your biography with Lulu solely for the purpose of producing and delivering your book. 6. Acceptable use
You agree not to upload harmful, abusive, or illegal content; impersonate others; attempt to access other users' accounts; or use automated tools to scrape or copy content. You may not order a printed book containing content that infringes a third party's rights or that would be unlawful to print or distribute.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, tax records of completed orders).
8. Liability
Vivlore is provided "as is". We are not liable for content uploaded by users or for the actions of family members you invite to collaborate. Our maximum liability for any subscription-related claim is limited to the subscription fees you have paid us in the prior 12 months. Our maximum liability for any printed-book claim is limited to the price you paid for that book. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
